Sparkly Shaker Card Tutorial!

Image
Sparkles and glitter are two of my favorite things. Therefore, my first tutorial of sorts being a shaker card is fitting! I remember the first time I saw a shaker card, I just HAD to make one! I've made many of them now, and I thought it would be fun to share my process and welcome input on how everybody else does this, too! So, first things first, to make a card like the cute Polar Bear card I'm sharing here, you will need: -Stamped images, colored with your preferred medium (I used Spectrum Noir markers) -Middleground paper (I used an alcohol ink background I mixed up using Ranger's alcohol inks in ********) -circle dies, in two separate, consecutive sizes (nesting dies that stack next to each other are best, and you can get creative and use squares, rectangles, ovals, and irregular shapes!) -acetate or packaging material from your extremely important and necessary supply purchases. I used the wrapper from a pack of stickers here. -3M Scotch Brand foam mounting

New beginning and a new blog!

Image
Hello, everyone! I'm really excited to be writing this- I'm going to embark upon a new adventure in the world of crafting- a blog for my cards and other crafty creations! I'm super excited to start sharing and see what this can grow into. Hopefully this is a fun way to share new ideas and thoughts while simultaneously enjoying the love of all things crafty! Thanks for checking me out! Below, I'll share a few of my favorite past projects that I made and shared via my Instagram page.   This one is a card filled with lots of learning and practice on a new technique for me-coloring "white" with my Spectrum Noir markers. Ranger Ink's Alcohol Inks are one of my favorite media for backgrounds, too!  Die cut layering with Honey Bee Stamps' nesting dies inspired by the crafty legend, Jennifer McGuire.  Coloring backgrounds with my spectrum noir is such a gorgeous and fun way to really set your stamping apart!
